Horror film "The Bay" analysis

The Bay is a very interesting movie because of the fact the whole thing is done through the use of hand held cameras and security cameras in the movie which really puts you in the position of the characters and helps to give you a real sense of fear.

You immediately know the film is a horror from the way in which a seemingly very distressed ex-news reporter is narrating the story to someone on webcam with clips in-between of events build a story and keeping to the time scale of what happened. This technique really allows the audience to believe the events really happened and dose an excellent job of not only allowing you to imagine yourself in the movie but it also puts you in the position of the person on the other side of the webcam so you really believe the events have happened.

Some diagetic sound is used to build tension and once again no famous actors are used to it dose not kill the mood if the audience can picture them in a different role.
